What is Tube Bandit?
Tube Bandit is a digital readout system for tube benders that displays bend angle in real time.

How accurate is Tube Bandit?
Tube Bandit will accurately measure the current bend angle to 1/10th of a degree (e.g. 35.1 deg).

Will it account for springback?
If you know the springback of your material, you can offset the displayed angle using the up & down buttons.

What tube benders will it fit?
Tube Bandit has been designed for and tested on the JD Square Model 3 and Pro Tools model 105 and 105HD.

Will it work on other benders?
Tube Bandit may work on a variety of benders similar to those listed above. Please call with your specific application.

Do I have to modify my bender?
For the JD2 Model 3 only the degree wheel must be removed. Otherwise the Tube Bandit is completely bolt on.

Do I need access to an electrical outlet?
No. Tube Bandit runs on four AA batteries.

Will Tube Bandit work outside?
Yes. The Tube Bandit display is UV resistant, however it should be stored indoors when not in use.

How big/thick of tubing can I bend?
Tube Bandit is designed to work for the advertised capacities of the benders listed above. Generally up to 2" x 0.120" round tubing and 1.5" x 0.120" square tubing is acceptable. Check with the manufacturer of your bender for their recommended limits.

Does Tube Bandit still work when I repin?
Tube Bandit's patent pending design is not affected when you use multiple pin holes in the main die during the course of a bend.

Can I mount the display remotely instead of on the bender?
Yes, the display can be mounted further from the bender, but you may need a longer cable for connecting the sensor. Custom cables can be ordered - just give us a call! We recommend you order your Tube Bandit and measure the required cable length after installation.
